John Ogden


John has performed Shakespeare with the American Shakespeare Festival, the Morgan-Wixon, the Globe in West Hollywood, Shakespeare Festival LA as Aegeon in The Comedy of Errors and more recently with the PSC as Don Adriano De Armado in Love's Labor's Lost and Aegeon in The Comedy of Errors. His favorite roles not written by The Bard are Richard Rowan in James Joyce's Exiles and Jamie in Long Day's Journey into Night, both of which he played at the Provinvetown Playhouse-on-the-Wharf. He relishes having done R.P. McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Deeley in Old Times and John in Oleanna. He is the co-founder and artistic director of the Rimpau Players, a student-faculty theatre group at Los Angeles High School where he has taught since 1986. John's favorite preoccupations are golf, playing the horses and spending time with his wife (not in that order).
