David Fruechting
Last seen here as Charles II in
The Libertine
, PSC audiences will remember David as Snout (the "Wall") in
A Midsummer Night's Dream
, Nicola in
Arms and the Man
, Robin of Bagshot and Turnkey in
The Beggar's Opera
, the Pedant in
The Taming of the Shrew
, Berowne in
Love's Labor's Lost
, and George in
Once in a Lifetime
. Among favorite roles essayed elsewhere, are Proctor in
The Crucible
, Dr. Pepper in
Bad Habits
, and Prospero in
The Tempest
. He had the distinct - though differing - pleasures of working with both the Actor's Gang (Leather Freak, in the U.S. premiere of
Mein Kampf
) and A Noise Within (Snug, in
A Midsummer Night's Dream
). Mr. Fruechting has studied in London with members of The National Theatre of England and the Royal Shakespeare Company, including Albert Finney and Ben Kingsley. A Southern California native and roommate of four cats, David is also a resident company member of the PSC, who helps us teach creative dramatics to children - and loves it.
