Payson Burt



Payson is pleased to be working with the Pasadena Shakespeare Company again. He co-directed the fights for Romeo and Juliet while visiting from the East Coast and returned as a new full-time California resident for The Taming of the Shrew. Payson has been an actor and fight director since 1982. He is a certified teacher of stage combat with the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) and serves on the faculties of Temple University's professional acting program and Curtis Institute of Music's opera program and University of the Arts. He is a regional representitive for the SAFD and the author of Of Paces, a training manual for stage combat.
