Christine Avila


Christine was a member of the original cast of Zoot Suit (Mark Taper Forum) and most recently appeared in Mariachi Quixote (Skirball-Kenis Theatre) and at South Coast Repertory Theatre (original cast of Posada Majica). Favorite roles include Spider Woman in Murray Mednick's The Coyote Cycle (Padua Hills Playwrights Festival and Jugoslavian tour), Cassandra in Steven Berkhoff's Agamemnon, Hermoine in A Winter's Tale and Suzanna in Van Horvath's Figaro Gets a Divorce (La Jolla Playhouse). She is a seven-time participant in the Sundance Playwrights Lab. Film and television credits include Liar, Liar, NYPD Blue, chicago Hope, Murder One and L.A. Doctors. Christine was named Teacher of the Year(UCLA Extension) and cited by the City of L.A. for her work at Fred C. Neilles School for Boys. She is a charter member of the Classical theatre Lab. Christine is a graduate of UCLA, studied with Sandy Meisner and Bill Esper (Neighborhood Playhouse) and with tad Danielewski.
